My Take About 50 Shades Trilogy

So, I’ve been posting stuffs about how I am addicted to 50 Shades Trilogy for about a week or so now. And I might be causing some friends to get interested or irritated. So to those who are interested to know what this 50 Shades addiction is all about, let me tell you something about it.

50 Shades of Grey is originally a fan fiction created for Twilight but because of the eroticism on it, it was taken out from the Twilight website. But since many (I think) got hooked on it, the writer decided to make her own website and continued writing on Bella and Edward’s alternative life. If I am correct it was first called as Master of the Universe. Then eventually it was brought to publishing or something like that.

My curiosity about the book was first awaken by E News. I heard that this “popular” book would be put to life and that this can be Robert Pattinson and Kirtsen Stewart’s next team up movie (bleegh). So, I decided to get a copy but never read it until I had a chat with a friend. I told her about the book and she encouraged me to read it because it was okay.

So, there right after our conversation I started reading it. At first I was not interested because I kept picturing Kirsten Stewart as the girl (if you’re my friend you know I’m not a big fan of her acting talents – Smirk Girl) but once Christian Grey’s character was introduced I kept picturing Ian Somerhalder then eventually Christian Bale as Christian, I got hooked.

Now, if you are looking for a book like Sydney Sheldon’s or Anne Rice or Paulo Coelho’s this is not the book for you. Being a fan fiction it’s not too deep. Book 1 and 2 are okay especially if you are after the romantic scenes or the dialogues. As for Book 3, personally I think the story twist is not very defined. However, I still enjoyed it (skipped most of the Red Room part and the sex).

Personally, it’s a feel good read. Not to intensive. But simple enough to be appreciated by people who wants to pass time or those who wants to imagine themselves being loved by a control-freak who has a heart.

My bottom line is, if you can’t tolerate erotic scenes don’t read it but if you want to be swept away by a handsome-sexy- 27 year old-control freak- rich-CEO then go read it. Let your imagination wander in Anastasia Steele’s life and be left dreaming to have your own Mr. Grey.
